Original 1968 Corvette 427 Big Block 4-Speed
Speedware has spent the last 30-days completely restoring the underside of the car!
- Removed all suspension and brakes along with the rear end, drive shaft, engine, transmission and radiator.
- Steam cleaned the underside of the car, removing all dirt, grime and original undercoating.
- Used Wurth High-build undercoating to give the underside of the car a new finish.
- Gave the engine a freshen-up with all new gaskets and seals and made it look new again with a fresh paint job.
- The engine also received a new high-torque starter and brand new 4-barrel carburetor along with new belts and filters.
- Old stock radiator was replace with a new top of the line aluminum radiator and all new hoses.
- The rear end was completely rebuilt and powdercoated.
- Once the Engine, Transmission, drive line and rear end were back in place, we installed the freshly stripped and repowder coated stock suspension arms with new poly-urethane bushings, shocks, springs and swaybars.
- Along with the powder coated backing plates, each corner of the car was dressed up with brand new brakes including new rotors, calipers, pads and lines.
- The stock wheels were wrapped in vintage redline radial tires (original in size and appearance but not the old bias-ply tire).
- To finish it off, we installed a new ceramic coated header and built a custom exhaust system with original style Borla mufflers and custom exhaust tips!
